Alta, Utah, November 9, 2005 — One of the first ever Internet sites dedicated to skiing in the Wasatch, AltaCam.com, recently changed ownership and has been redesigned. The new version of the site was launched on November 1, 2005. The site mission: AltaCam is a site by and for Altafarians for the purpose of networking and spreading the Alta Love. Times change but powder skiing remains timeless.

T&T Bike and Ski, formerly located at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon, ran the site from its inception date until GravityFed.com, Inc. purchased the domain last summer. As part of the sale agreement, the former owners encouraged GravityFed to continue this Alta community tradition. As such, the new AltaCam launched with the Alta Ski Forum as its main attraction. In the Alta Ski Forum's first week, 26 new users registered and nearly 100 articles were logged.

"There's a whole Internet user base dying for a place to congregate about powder skiing at Alta," says Jesse Hoffman from GravityFed. "They use to be active on this very site, so it won't take long for them to find that AltaCam is back. It's thrilling to be a part of a project to network skiers."

Whether you're back east pin-pointing your trip date or in Park City trying to get a dawn patrol ride to Alta, you should definitely keep an eye on this community. Forum categories include Alta News, Gear Swap (free classifieds), Politics of Powder (environmental discussions), Meeting Place (car pools and other rendezvous) and much more. Registration is free so sign-up quick to secure your user name/handle. Simply visit: http://www.altacam.com/forum/ Click the 'Register' link and follow the simple registration process. Once registered you will have full access to interact with the community.

One thing has remained constant over the years: AltaCam has always been the best source for grassroots Little Cottonwood Daily Grind.
