Helly Hansen Merges Canadian and US Offices
Delta, B.C., March 26, 2007 - Helly Hansen announced the company is reorganizing North American operations and will centralize company efforts. Gary Davis was named GM of Helly Hansen North America. Davis, who previously served as GM for the Canadian arm of the business based in Delta, B.C.,steps into the position held by Ric Long since 2000.
"We've taken the best attributes of both the US and Canadian offices and combined them into a focused organization that will improve communication and simplify things," Davis said. "Our brand presence is stronger than ever. The new structure will further solidify our position as one of North America's most technically advanced brands for all outdoor activities."
Davis came to Helly Hansen in 2001 and will assume Ric Long's responsibilities immediately. Long has opted to pursue other career interests. He will stay on with Helly Hansen as a consultant to assist with the transition through June 2007.
