// Lodging Info

This will be my forth winter working at the Peruvian Lodge. I was
lucky enough to score the ideal skier bum job. Bartending three nights a week. It really is a good job and I am
constantly around wonderful people...which consists of lodge guests, canyon employees, and of course the local element that
inhabits the salty old bar room.

Both Danette and I made the quick decision to be married in Alta. It was a no brainer. This place means the world to both of
us, and it's where we fell in love. Being very familiar with the Peruvian Lodge and previous weddings there,
I approached Todd Collins the GM and asked about the September 20th date. It was available so we asked Mayor Levitt if he would
perform the civil ceremony. Mayor Levitt has been the mayor of Alta since 1971, and he's married over 50 couples who have met there.
He was available on our day, so we officially had ourselves a wedding date, an officiant and a location.

I created this page to give everyone the skinny on how to make reservations, etc. You can call the Peruvian Lodge any weekday from
9am until 4pm MT. There's almost always someone there during the day even in summer months when the lodge is closed. Chances are Todd or Patrick will
answer the phone...but whomever answers just say you'd like to make lodging reservations for Danette and Gary's wedding in September.
The lodge will actually be closed that weekend. They are only accepting reservations for our wedding. What's really nice is that the weekend
before the 20th they have their annual Downhill Dash and BBQ Bash at the lodge so the pool and hottub will be all ready for us. Make sure to bring
your swim suits!

As far as the weather is concerned, most of September is usually gorgeous and warm. But it can also be snowing inches by the hour. You never know what to
expect, but chances are it will be pleasant and mild. We are at a high elevation (the lodge is at about 8,500' above sea level) so
even if days are warm and sunny, nights will get pretty chilly in September, so bring some warm cloths including a jacket. You should
also bring some hiking or tennis shoes as there are plenty of awe inspiring walks to take in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Here's the scoop...we'd like to have our wedding be a very relaxing and low-key affair for our guests. We'll be dressed all fancy
(as Altafarians go), but that doesn't mean you have to be. Feel free to dress casual (like you would going to a nice restaurant or something), but
don't feel as though you need to be in formal wear...after all it is a mountain celebration. All the decorations are hand-made and even
the beer will be brewed by the local man of action Mike Watson!
